About INA/LAB
INA/LAB is a non-profit think tank and public knowledge platform dedicated to improving understanding and practice of Digital Public Infrastructure. We go beyond sharing stories by producing policy research, comparative analysis, and capacity building resources that explain how identity, payment systems, and data exchange shape access, trust, and outcomes in everyday life.
Our work draws on experiences from Indonesia and insights from other countries, bridging local realities with global lessons.

Phase 1 focus
Phase 1 is designed to prove adoption value quickly. We focus on demand evidence, usable playbooks, quarterly lab cycles with tangible artifacts, and safeguards and inclusion baselines for priority use cases.
Phase 1 deliverables
- Demand and readiness pack with named counterparts and schedules
- Three implementation playbooks in active production
- Four Adoption Lab cycles with tangible artifacts and decision logs
- Two safeguards and inclusion baselines for priority use cases
- Adoption evidence showing tools used in real decisions
How we measure success
- Templates referenced in guidance, SOPs, or working group drafts
- Standing coordination routines strengthened or created
- Safeguards embedded into implementation planning
- Reduced exclusion risks for selected use cases
Our approach
Credibility first
We prioritize accuracy and practical relevance over volume. Every output is grounded in real implementation experience, with clear citations and transparent methods.
Implementation focus
We focus on the decisions, tradeoffs, and operating details that matter for teams trying to move from ambition to execution. Theory matters, but only when it helps solve real coordination problems.
Public knowledge
Our work is freely available and designed to be reused. We publish under open licenses and actively encourage adaptation for local contexts.
Team
Collaborate with us
We work with government agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and research institutions on specific DPI implementation challenges. We prioritize collaborations where our playbooks and lab outputs can be tested and refined in real delivery contexts.
